Safety Commitment:
We have integrated the quality and safety issues at the beginning of our development process.
Our engineer team are at the first stage reviewing each component together with external authorities, to ensure the safety of our items.
This covers the physical, mechanical and chemical aspects, and is done following international standards.

Standards and Testing:
Being present on the 5 continents, our items are tested accordingly with standards covering different areas.
We work with internationally recognized laboratories to get the following certificates:
Europe: EN, GE and BS Certifications.
Americas: ASTM Certifications
Asia: AS/NZ, CCC, Japan Certifications
Testing Laboratories: Dekra, LNE and ITS as our safety test laboratory for all toys, electrical and CE safety standard.
We don't just rely on external testing bodies for our quality, but we are permanently picking and re-checking our component, to ensure all year long production standard.

Quality Process:
All our manufacturing units are approved either on the quality side (ISO) or on the social part (ILS, ICTI.)
Our team of quality inspectors are consistently monitoring the production ; watching that each component from when it arrives to us till it is shipped out as a finished product complies with our internal guidelines.
Since 2007 we added a traceability system to improve our batch coding for all our production.

Legal Monitoring:
Canal Toys in France is Member of the French Committee for Toys Normalization, and works closely with the different authorities (Customs, DGCRRF, Squalpi).
In China as well we are member of the Toy Industry Association of Guangdong.
Working closer with both these bodies is important to keep Canal at the forefront, and involved with, future legislation within the sector.
